WHO WE ARE

SAM
Director
Sam Barnett has been in the building industry for over 25 years starting out as a carpenter in New Zealand before earning his low-rise building licence in Queensland in 2011, and finally acquiring his mid-rise licence in 2015. He was literally born into a world of building; his father, uncles, grandfather and three brothers are all in the game. It’s not unusual for family get-togethers to revolve around sharing current and upcoming projects with plans on the table, everyone zealously sharing their thoughts and ideas.
Under his licence, but a different company, he has built over 1200 homes, ranging in size and scope from Granny Flats and auxiliary dwellings, to traditional 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes and impressive waterfront homes up to 1200m2. He has a deep understanding of all facets of building and relevant building codes and legislation.
Building is not just a job for Sam, it’s a creative passion that is all-encompassing from conceptualisation of a project to being ‘hands-on’ in the creation and delivery phases. When you meet him you instantly know that he is a ‘people person’, so making his client's dreams come true is extremely rewarding for him. Finishing a job and handing over the key to a client with a handshake and/or hug from the owner is how he does business.
Most mornings you'll find Sam hitting the waves along the east coast before heading to site—it's his way of starting the day with a clear head and positive energy. When he's not building or surfing, Sam loves spending quality time with his three girls, his wife Krystle, and their brown Labrador Duggy, it's a real family affair and he wouldn't have it any other way.

KRYSTLE
CEO
Krystle Barnett has been Sam's right-hand-woman since the business first started in 2010, helping with business management, and later working alongside clients in the sale process to ensure the dream is delivered as expected. Her primary focus personally and in her career is relationship building eventually establishing these into strong, authentic networks. She is also a qualified real estate agent who has put her learned skills to good use over the last few years.
Krystle is passionate about real estate, renovations, and creating homes with inviting, ambient living spaces perfect for entertaining - she understands the aesthetic and functional needs for a kitchen and open living area to make the perfect entertainment space for your friends and family. Sam and Krystle have built three homes together, each time gaining more knowledge and precision on the process and outcome.
You can relax knowing that you have a solid team there to guide you through the process and will be there to answer all your questions – and know that there is never a ‘stupid’ question when building a house.
Krystle's naturally social personality means she can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, which makes building genuine relationships with clients feel effortless. When she's not helping families create their dream homes, you'll find her spending time with her three girls, catching up with friends over lunch, hiking local trails, or unwinding at the beach with a good book in hand.

TUSCANY
Sales Consultant
As the Sales Consultant at BCC Homes, Tuscany is the external heartbeat of the business, supporting both the team and clients with warmth, clarity and genuine care. She began her journey in the construction industry over 7 years ago and quickly discovered a passion for it — the detail, the people, and the opportunity to help bring homes to life.
Drawn to BCC Homes for its strong values and deeply people-first culture, Tuscany knew immediately this was a place where connection mattered just as much as construction. From initial enquiries through to contract signing, she guides clients through both the sales process and early stages of their build with clarity, kindness and care. She believes that building a home — even a small one — is a deeply personal journey that deserves respect, transparency and thoughtful attention at every step.
Known for her calm presence, kindness and 'fixer mentality', Tuscany approaches every interaction with empathy and a genuine desire to make the process feel simple, supported and stress-free. Whether she's helping a family explore their options or coordinating the finer details behind the scenes, building meaningful relationships is at the heart of her work. Seeing families step into their finished homes after months of planning and collaboration is one of the most rewarding parts of her role.
Originally from Hamilton, New Zealand, Tuscany is an avid reader and cook, and a passionate animal lover. Her warm nature, attention to detail and commitment to caring for people make her an integral part of the BCC Homes family.

GLEN
Site Manager
Glen, our dedicated Site Manager, brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, having truly seen it all. Starting out on the tools, he went on to successfully run his own business for many years before spending the last 15 years managing construction sites.
Glen thrives on coordinating job workflows and, when needed, being hands-on—working directly with clients and managing the trades he’s built strong relationships with over the years.
In the construction of a home, ensuring a defect-free result requires a skilled professional who can tie it all together for a smooth handover. Glen has earned a reputation as one of the best “finishers” in the industry among his colleagues.
With a strong work ethic, a friendly demeanour, constant jokes, and a love for a good cup of coffee (six times a day), Glen works tirelessly to ensure the job is done right, and that every client feels valued and heard. He is the one who truly brings your build to life.

RUTH
Production Manager
Ruth joined BCC Homes at the start of 2025 as our Production Manager, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
Throughout her career, Ruth has developed comprehensive expertise in a range of administrative functions, including Accounts, Contracts Administration, Office Management, and Production Estimating.
Her experience spans a wide range of projects, from Investment and Owner Occupier to Custom and NDIS builds, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of the industry.
At BCC Homes, Ruth focuses on Production and Sales Estimating. She is dedicated to delivering precise, accurate work and approaches each task with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. Ruth is always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the task.
Outside of work, Ruth enjoys travel, theatre, music, and spending quality time with her friends and family, including her beloved fur babies. Ruth is a tremendous asset to our team, and we're grateful to call her part of the BCC Homes family.

CATHERINE
Bookkeeper
Catherine has been a bookkeeper at BCC Homes since May 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from her diverse professional background.
She spent five years in the building industry, overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and trust accounting for the property management division. Before that, Catherine worked for eight years in the hospitality sector within the mining industry, specializing in accounts payable and assisting with receivables. She also has two years of experience as a property manager and began her career with five years of administrative support in the pool industry, where she assisted the finance team.
Catherine is always up for a chat and is one of the most positive people you’ve ever met, she loves being part of the team. Catherine is excited to apply her diverse skill set to a company that values exceptional customer service and high-quality results.

LAUREN
Contracts and Preconstruction Manager
Lauren is our Contracts and Preconstruction Manager at BCC Homes and a trusted expert in building preparation, lodgements. She is always smiling and willing to help our clients and the BCC Homes team.
With nearly twenty years of experience in the building industry, Lauren developed a passion for construction straight out of school and has been dedicated to the field ever since.
Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of pre-construction, including contour surveys, working drawings, engineering coordination, and energy assessments. Her strong attention to detail and in-depth understanding of the approvals process help ensure projects run smoothly from the very beginning.
Known for her approachable and down-to-earth nature, Lauren builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. She brings a positive, solutions-focused mindset to every project and is always ready to support the team wherever needed.
Outside of work, Lauren is a busy mum of three who enjoys spending time with her family, friends and continuing to grow her farm.
Lauren’s experience, reliability, and genuine care for her work make her an integral part of the BCC Homes team and a trusted guide for clients navigating the building process.

RYLAN
Construction Coordinator
Born and raised on the sun-soaked coast of California, Rylan brings a laid-back yet driven West Coast energy to the BCC Homes team. With a natural eye for detail and a genuine passion for the build process, he's the kind of person who takes pride in getting things right, every time.
As Construction Coordinator, Rylan plays a key role in bringing builds to life from concept through to completion. He's known for combining precision with creativity, ensuring every project is delivered with accuracy, care and a polished finish that both the team and clients can be proud of. No detail is too small, and no step in the process is overlooked.
What drives Rylan isn't just the work itself, it's the satisfaction of seeing a project come together exactly as it should. He believes that quality isn't just a standard, it's a commitment, and that shows in everything he puts his name to.
When he's not coordinating builds, you'll find Rylan chasing waves and embracing the coastal lifestyle that first drew him to this part of the world. It's safe to say he's found his home away from home on the Gold Coast, and we're pretty glad he did.

TYLER
Client Liaison
As Client Liaison at BCC Homes, Tyler is a steady and supportive presence for clients throughout both pre-construction and the build process. With a background in nursing, she brings a naturally caring, detail-oriented approach to her role, ensuring every client feels heard, supported and genuinely looked after from start to finish.
Making the transition into the building industry was a big change, but one that felt like a natural fit for Tyler’s personality. As a true people person, she thrives on building genuine connections and guiding clients through what can often feel like an overwhelming process, bringing calm, clarity and reassurance at every stage.
Working closely with the team behind the scenes, Tyler helps keep each project moving forward smoothly — coordinating key milestones, maintaining clear communication and ensuring nothing is missed along the way. Her organised, proactive approach allows clients to feel confident and supported throughout their journey, knowing they are in capable hands.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find Tyler cooking, at the beach or behind the camera capturing little moments. Her easy-going nature and genuine care for people make her someone clients naturally feel comfortable with and a valued part of the BCC Homes experience.

NED
Junior Estimator
Ned joined the construction industry with a strong foundation shaped by both his family background and professional experience. Originally from India, he has a background in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both design and construction processes.
Growing up around construction, Ned developed an early interest in drawings, site operations, and the overall building process. With over 2 years of experience in site coordination and estimating, he has built a practical understanding of construction workflows and on-site requirements.
Ned works as an Estimator, supporting the estimating team across production and sales estimating processes. His role includes preparing quantity take-offs, setting up take-off sheets, assisting with cost planning, and supporting documentation. He is also involved in site visits, invoicing processes, and continues to develop his skills in variations and sales estimating.
Known for his attention to detail and structured approach, Ned is committed to learning all areas of estimating and contributing to accurate and efficient outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys playing cricket, spending time watching movies, and exploring new food spots.
