Built as a forever home for the client’s daughter and her partner, this custom 80m2 Granny Flat creates the perfect balance of independence, comfort and connection. Positioned on an existing unused tennis court, the site offered a practical and straightforward location for the slab while making the most of the beautiful views across the property. 


Inside, the home has been designed with easy everyday living in mind, with warm timber-look flooring running through the main living spaces and a light, open feel that connects the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The open-plan layout flows naturally from the internal living zone out to the covered alfresco area, creating an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle that makes the home feel even more spacious. It’s the kind of setting made for morning coffees, relaxed afternoons and spending time together while still enjoying privacy and independence. 


With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a double car garage, every part of the home has been carefully considered to support practical, comfortable living now and into the future. As no town planning approval was required, the project was able to move ahead smoothly from concept to completion, transforming an unused space into a purpose-built forever home that keeps family close.
